Our Target

  1. Glorify God – Serve the Lord with gladness & obedience.
  2. Testify about salvation thru Jesus Christ – in word and deed.

  4. Live other centered lives.
  5. Raise children who desire to love the Lord with all their hearts & come to know Him as savior at an early age.
  6. Raise children who honor and respect their parents.
  7. Discover the truth of God’s word together through regular Bible reading & study.
  8. Worship together in the home and with other members of the body of Christ.
  9. Raise children who have an accurate understanding of their talents and gifts. Arrange opportunities for them to develop & employ their passions in the advancement of God’s kingdom through their daily life and vocation.
  10. Prayerfully arrange for family members to be mentored and befriended by people who will encourage them to discover & pursue God’s plan.
  11. Encourage & train family members to be wise & faithful stewards of the resources placed under their control so that they will be responsible caretakers, generous givers & cheerful tithers.
  12. Stimulate a hopeful disposition with a constant appetite for Heaven & the eternal state.
  13. Have fun together often.

    Well knowing you both you were always very good at doing this. I pray that you can continue striving toward this target and that we too can continue to have these goals for our family. Lori, you have always been an inspiration to me with your wonderful parenting! ~Kelly

    Your goals are very commendable and I am sure God is honored by the goals and will honor you as a family. I am reminded of a saying, "The best thing a man can do for his children is to love their mother."

    Thanks Mark and Elsie. I hope to write a brief article about about each goal, including scriptures, examples, and clarification.

    It would be nice if we can add a goal about Lori and I modeling a great marital example too.

    It's a great thing to clarify your goals and then match everything up to them to see if they align. Puts everything in perspective.
    Let me know when one of the girls wants a midwife for a mentor!!! Love ya'll
